Project details
The Planning Board prepared a zoning amendment (the Depot Village Overlay District) for the Depot area (Rt. 28/Main St.) to implement the Depot Intersection Redevelopment Plan. The Depot Village Overlay District will encourage a mix of commercial, office, and residential uses in a village-style, pedestrian-friendly environment. A copy of the proposed District and zoning map is attached below. The Planning Board held public meetings to discuss the zoning amendment on September 28, 2010 and January 11, 2011. Voters adopted the Depot Village Overlay District on March 8, 2011. If you have any comments on this matter, please contact Planning Director Ross Moldoff at rmoldoff@ci.salem.nh.us. This plan was adopted by the Planning Board on February 8, 2011, as part of the Salem Master Plan.
