ITS Phase Two EECBG

Project details

In order to support ITS deployments along the corridor, the municipal fiber optic communications infrastructure would be extended along Route 28 from the Cluff Crossing Road intersection southward to the Lowe's Driveway intersection. The following intersections would be placed on the fiber optic network to facilitate remote central control of traffic signal coordination. • S1 Route 28 Proposed Lowe’s Driveway • S2/S3 Route 28 Hampshire/Lawrence Rd • S6 Route 28 Kelly Road • S7 Route 28 Best Buy Plaza • S8 Route 28 Home Depot Plaza • S9 Route 28 Marshalls/Target Plaza Upgrading these intersections would allow the Town to be able to remotely control traffic signal timing patterns along greater portions of the key arterial corridor, Route 28. This would complete the ITS system in conjunction with Phase One from the Depot Intersection to the state line.
